New Skins!
We launched skins for Battle Plans. We started with two new ones and will be adding more over time. Look for a pink one some time in the near future.
Battle Mail
This is like e-mail in your Battle Plan. Use it to send private messages to your trenchmates and keep in touch. Especially fun when used along with the "Online" indicator.
"Online" indicator
This feature is really cool! Now you can see who is online when you are. Just browse to their Battle Plan and look for the "Online" icon.
Go ahead and send them a Battle Shout since they're online.
New info on trenchmate pages
This feaure let's you see what your Trenchmates have been up to. When you view all your Trenchmates now you can see if they have added new blog entries or gotten any new comments since the last time you logged in.
We also added Next/Previous buttons to this page so you don't have to wait for a huge page to load if you have a bunch of Trenchmates.
Image upload button
There is a new little image upload button on your blog editing page (it looks like a tree). Use it to put images from other websites up on your Battle Plan.
sHARED VS. uN-SHARED
We opened up Battle Plans to the world! Previously you had to be logged in as a coalition member to see someone's Battle Plan. Now you they can just pull it right up. This make urls like www.mybattleplan.com/cor39 even more useful!
You can still set your Battle Plan to only be viewable by coalition members by setting it to "un-shared" in your profile options.
Login from home page and "remember me"
Not only can you log in from the home page now, but you can set Battle Cry to remember you so you don't have to log in every time you come back to the site!
Updated profile image tool
We updated the system to upload your profile image to get ready for adding Battle Plan skins. All images set up previously were optimized to show up on a white background.
The cool part of this fix is that now, when you go to upload a new image, the site will try two different ways to scale/crop the image down to size and let you pick between the two. Most of the time it give you a better option than the default you used to get before.
Edit and delete comments/posts
Ever leave a comment on someone's Battle Plan and then realize that you need to change it or get rid of it? Now you can.
Battle Shouts
Now you can leave shout outs for your friends without having to leave a comment on their blog. Just leave a Battle Shout.
YouTube Videos
You can post YouTube videos to your Battle Plans now!
Find or upload the video you want on www.youtube.com and then copy the embed code for the video
Then, go to your Battle Plan and click the link to post a YouTube video from the Edit My Blog page
Give your blog post a title and your personal comments and then paste in the embed code from YouTube
Hit the Add Entry button and your video is up for everyone to see!
Post photos to your Battle Plan
Posting photos to your Battle Plan is even easier than adding YouTube video. Just follow these steps:
- Find the image you want to post on a web page (or upload one to your site or www.flickr.com)
- Right-click on the image and select Copy
- Go to your Battle Plan and start writing a new blog entry
- Right click in the edit window for your new blog entry and select Paste to place your photo in your new blog post
Its that easy!
Make sure you are using Internet Explorer when trying to paste in photos. While we support lots of other browsers, pasting in photos is super easy in Internet Explorer.

Send all your friends and family the link to check out your Battle Plan at www.mybattleplan.com/username
Xanga and MySpace graphics
Show your Battle Cry support by linking to battlecry.com from your MySpace or Xanga! Image links and code can be found under Resources -> Xanga and MySpace Graphics
Emoticons
You can add smileys to any blog post or comment. There are even a couple Battle Cry specific smileys!
Featured Battle Plans
We've added Battle Plans to the home page of battlecry.com! We'll be rotating coalition members into the limelight periodically, so be sure to check back often.
More Search options
Now you can search by first/last name or e-mail address in addition to username
Trenchmate invite Link
Inviting someone you find on battlecry.com to be your trenchmate just got a whole lot easier. Now, in addition to inviting someone with their e-mail address, you can click the link on their Battle Plan to send them an invitation
