How to continue praying for the BattleCry movement.

The fight for this generation has sparked a movement that depends on an effective battle in prayer. From media coverage to the BattleCry internship, prayer must be the fuel and support for this vision of change.


The final BattleCry Event of the year was a huge success in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 12-13. However, the nation has not forgotten the stance taken by this army of youth.

BattleCry and the Media
Around the nation, BattleCry has been a hot topic for headlines and news reporters. Heads are turning as the media captures this army rising and taking a stance. However, what is displayed to the nation may not be the message BattleCry intends to send. Pray that the media would portray the BattleCry as an authentic and genuine representation of Christianity to the public.

This is a huge factor that could either make or break the entire movement. Ask God to use this media coverage as a tool, propelling the message of truth across the nation.

With such a grey definition of morality presented to this generation, the line between right and wrong is harder than ever to define. Issues such as homosexuality, abortion, child custody and education lie in the hands of our local and national judges. Pray that they would represent Biblical values on these debatable issues, ruling in favor of morality.

Corruption at School
Students today are faced with several dilemmas in the classroom. Placed in situations where they may have to compromise standards because of the requirements of an academic curriculum, many youth are asked to watch or read material containing profanity, pornography, or violence, all in the name of education. This has become a rising issue as the definition of morality grows blurry.

Pray that school boards would understand graphic material’s effect on young minds and protect children from vulgar content. Pray also that parents would voice their opinion to protect their children and stand against this type of teaching.

Summer Missions
With summer approaching and school ending, many are heading for the mission field. Pray that God would use and work through each person heading to the field this summer.

Thousands of teens are planning on spreading the message of Christ to the lost through Teen Mania’s Global Expedition mission trips. There are several areas to keep in prayer for these trips. First, pray for the missionaries and their finances. The majority of them are teenagers relying on fundraising to gain the money to go. Pray that the Lord would provide for each missionary that is called to the field, and that they would see the faithfulness of God and learn to trust in Him even in the most difficult times.

Pray for all of the preparations at Teen Mania to transport, house, feed and effectively train each missionary. Ask that God would make this a smooth process so that each teenager would receive the best experience during their time on the mission field. Also pray for those making in-country preparations before the arrival of the missionaries.

The purpose of these trips is to advance the Kingdom of God through the missionaries. Pray that this summer would radically change their heart and lives. Ask that God would continue to place a desire on their hearts for missions and reaching the lost and unreached. Pray also that the hearts of the people they talk to would be soft, fertile soil, ready to receive the message they bring. Lastly, pray that many would come to the knowledge of Christ through the faithfulness of each missionary.

The BattleCry Internship
Teen Mania Ministries’ Honor Academy is a year-long internship for high school graduates. These interns are the wheels behind the BattleCry movement, giving their time and effort to see their generation changed. Currently, at least 600 teens have devoted a year of their lives to the internship. Pray that more would have the desire to attend and spend a year of their lives passionately pursuing the Lord while making a huge impact on this nation. Ask that God would also provide for their financial needs.

Pray for wisdom and discernment for those who make decisions concerning who is accepted to the internship. Pray that only those who truly desire a deeper relationship with God and sincerely want to see this generation changed would be accepted, and that God would work in their lives throughout their time at the Honor Academy.

The BattleCry provides incredible opportunities to continue spreading the Truth of Christ to the youth of the most influential country in the world. With this in mind, prayer is needed more than ever to keep the vision alive and advancing.
